Case Mods
Started with the QmicraV1 SFF case from PCDesignLab.com
BloodMoon features an E6700@3.45, 4X512Meg Corsair DDR2 @675, 2X250Gig Western Digital 7200rpm Caviar drives, and an 8800GTX.
All watercooled with DangerDen parts all inside the case.
It started with the idea to portray an Eclipse…and progressed to show the Blood Moon: a particular type of Lunar eclipse caused by the refraction of red light around the earth.
The domes were custom ordered to preserve the scale between the Earth and Moon, then etched by hand using my dremel. The geography of both domes is geographically accurate from satellite imagery.
All the top lettering was cutout with dremel tools and smoothed with files. I had no laser or watercutting done at all.
The DVD drive has a single red plate that allows the Matrix Orbital to be seen, and covers the drives bays. Knockouts for the switches is also part of the same panel.
