Case Fabrication

I made this system for a friend about 4 years ago when all wooden cases mods were still mostly plywood boxes, as it was for a friend the case is built so it can take a standard atx computer with out any modification to the computer parts.

The pagoda was in the works for 18 months, from historical research, case design, gathering materals, manufacturing and modification. I tried my best to reproduce an authentic Japanese wood framing design. The roof construction consists of over 120 individually cut framing pieces and around 3800 shingles also individually hand cut and glued. Yes, that is as insane as it sounds, but it was the only way to get that “look.” The walls are made from real rice paper. The internal componets are mounted on a custom built acrylic motherboard tray and cd/floppy rack for the front.
