This is my first MOD project, R-1000 Redline.
The prefix R from the R-1000 stands for color RED from the chassis. adding the suffix 1000 from the original name V-1000.
Redline refers to the maximum performance at which an internal components are designed to operate without causing damage to the components themselves and balanced components.
It all started as a normal Lian Li V-1000B+, i bought it as second hand, very dusty and some scratches to the bodywork, so i get bored to look at so i painted with urethane candy tone red clearcoat, the paintwork consist of 3 layers of paint. after the paintwork job, I work on the interior inserts, because i like cars so much, a carbon fiber vinyls wrap inside to look sleek. it also looks light, but no lighter either, because of the weight of the hard disk and the PSU. further more, more detailing inside, my own work of cable management, i did some aluminum cuttings in the other side of the case to make way of the hidden wires. For cooling, i made it to be airflow efficient as possible, so i put Scythe Kama Bay on the front end panel with Silverstone FM122 cools the HD3870X2 and the motherboard, in the middle the Thermalright Ultima-90 is aircharged with Silverstone FM92 blown to the rear Silverstone FM122 to push out the hot air inside the chassis. all my fans are Sliverstone FM series, 3 FM122 for the chassis and 1 FM92 attached on my Thermalright Ultima-90. all fans are controlled by Zalman ZM-MFC2 Controller. to match the color, i’ve used Sunbeam hyper RED CCFL lights to have aggressive stance.
this project started October 2007, finished build up in February 2008. right now, this project is currently on further modification. the pictures you saw right now is the modification that i have planned 4 months ago.
thanks for viewing. ciao!
