Great battle! Though I find it quite ironic that your bomb took out my airplane. lol! What are you, some kind of terrorist? haha jk
Awesome work man and good luck in your future battles! You got a worklog on this somewhere? I’d love to check it out.

I have wanted to build a serious mod for years but I could never think of what I wanted to do. I wanted it to be unusual and unique. I played Serious Sam games many times. It wasn’t until I was playing Serious Sam 2 , that I figured out what I wanted to do, as I was running over to pick up a serious bomb, I stopped dead in my tacks and stared at it for the longest time and realized that was what I wanted to build. It was perfect! The bomb had a seam right around it that was perfect to open up to put components for a computer and to my knowledge no one has made this into a mod, and thought “why not?”
After spending time thinking this through, I knew how I wanted to do it but was not sure of how I was going to do it. I wanted to make the mod as small as possible, so picking up all the components that were needed. I needed to get the smallest desktop motherboard possible which was the MSI K8 micro motherboard. I wanted to be able to play the serious Sam games on it so I dropped in a AMD 64 Sempron 3100 processor, and of course to make sure the game looked good I put in an ATI Radeon X1600 Pro with 256 MB of DDR ram. To ensure best performance I put in 1 GB of PC 2700 DDR ram. To save space and to cut down on heat, I mounted a Seagate, 40 GB laptop hard drive to the side of the mounting bracket. Even though the AMD runs cool; the case is small and would be limited on air flow, so I installed a Zalman CPU Heat sink and fan. I also modified a LG 52x CD rom to look like a tongue and hard wired an external switch. I then picked up a used ATX case and cut up the motherboard plate. When complete, the internal components stacked came to the height of 12 ½ inches. I now knew I had to make the ball (or case) for the components to fit inside, 14 inches high and 14 ½ inch diameter. The case is constructed out of fiberglass and aluminum. The fuse canister is hollow so I could place an 80cm fan to add air circulation and cooling. The fuse lights up, the big bolt on the top of his head is the power switch, just like in the game, the eyes light up, and when you push on the screw between his eyes, the mouth opens up and he sticks out his tongue. To attach external peripherals, the back is inset for easy access. It was painted silver and black and hand rubbed to give that worn and handled look. I also had to make sure that it had to have a rough texture not smooth. Finally, after approximately 5 months and 600 hours later the mod was complete.

I love the school of oddball
I love the school of oddball design. Very creative.
The split level design is also very nice. Hopefully people will come to realize it allows for a much cleaner look.
Great Job.
