I have always loved braided steel cables, and have planned on doing a mod involving them for some time. I was (and still am) saving that idea for the inside of a lian-li that I own, but the shuttle case mod contest seemed like a good excuse to unveil my idea. I punched out all 66 holes with a knockout punch and installed the 33 cables. Then, I used a bench grinder to grind down the internal structure to make the cover fit. To keep the form without loosing function I stealthed the optical drive. Finally, I lighted it using an 80mm cathode fan.
