Being motivated by Will Smith’s Ed Word back in July 2006, I have enjoyed this challenge. To recap he says “I don’t want an iMac or an Apple-built tower— the company’s design aesthetic is cool, but tight reveals and fancy industrial stylings aren’t a substitute for a custom-built rig that I lovingly assemble with my own two hands.”

So here was my challenge. How NON-Mac could I build a system. What would the opposite of “industrial stylings” be? This is not a direct slam against Apple ELECTRONICS, but it is an indirect slam against their “better than you” attitude. Ever notice how well Mac’s design fits in hospital settings. It’s sickening. Literally. How do you bring the RAW essence of PC building out in the design of the system?
How do you take the ‘blueberry’ out of a system?

I believe I have an idea.
